Jean Farish - Tropical Scissor Fob / Ornament Class

Stitch a pretty and practical scissor fob while learning the linen finishing stitch! Jean will teach the basic assembly technique which you will be able to apply many projects for a lifetime of easy finishing ideas. The class kit for this 3-D ornament / fob includes 30-count hand dyed linen, Cosmo floss, needles, stitch diagrams, chart, and all the materials needed for finishing. Class time will focus on the assembly process so the kit will be sent out early for stitching the cross stitch design, stitched "over two."

The three-sided design features motifs typically found in tropical samplers. On one side you can add your initials; on another, the date; and on the third, a reference to Barefoot Needleart at the beach or something of your own. Full personalization alphabets are included.

As a bonus, this hands-on workshop also includes learning how to make one-, two-, three-, and four-color cords. You’ll learn cord making basics and make your own samples to build a reference source you can use for all your future projects. Your class kit will include all materials needed, printed instructions, and use of the tools needed in class. 

Please arrive in class with all the cross stitched areas done and bring all kit materials, a pair of embroidery scissors, and any magnification you typically need. You must be able to see the individual linen threads.
